Dear all
We will be meeting on
Monday at the URC from 8-10pm. The livestream link is:
https://www.youtube.com/live/ThDC2vROQ8Y.
Here is a message from Althea regarding
tickets:
"Please buy more tickets. We’ve sold less than 100. The church would look rather empty. Surely the music and our efforts should be rewarded with a larger audience." Please spread the message of the concert to your family and friends. I attach the small flyers again for you to print off for them. You can buy tickets at rehearsals and on the website.
Thank you to those who have already responded to
the poll about an
extra rehearsal on Thursday 8 May (8-9.30pm at the URC). If you haven't already done so, please reply to me saying whether you can make it. Steven will decide on Monday whether we need it.
Steven has produced the following schedule for the
Saturday afternoon 10 May rehearsal:
2pm - short warm-up
2.05 - Motets, first set (ie Hassler, Anerio, Rossini, Victoria)
2.30 - Thine Enchantment
2.40 - Motets, second set (ie Lassus, John IV of Portugal, Stravinsky, Viadana)
3.00 - Duruflé
3.30ish - BREAK
3.40ish - Duruflé
4.35ish - choir finish, and Martha/Dan/James/Steve practise the solo items
The
dress code is as usual: black trousers or skirts with black tops that have long or 3/4 length sleeves for the ladies and dinner jacket, white shirt and black bow tie for the men.
As Ian Dobson has pointed out, you can access free files on the John Fletcher Music website for the
Rossini here:

Best wishes,
